All rides are given in Winona Forest in Southern Jefferson County near Sandy Creek, New York.  Most prefer our 30 to 35 minute ride in length and use the vast trail system in Winona Forest , but we also offer a Two Hour Tour for those that desire a longer adventure type ride.  A one week advanced notice is required and a 1/2 down payment via phone or e-mail.
As stated on the front page, we use the Scandinavian Hound, a hybrid sled dog with the bulk of their lineage coming from the English and German Shorthaired Pointer, Alaskan Husky and various hunting or working dogs. These hybrid dogs are extremely sociable, approachable and biddable and we encourage plenty of social interaction when we stop for a quick rest or at the truck. To see what they look like and check out ALL the dogs at ADK, please check out the DOGS (click) page.

Short Ride: $65 per person.
Approximately 30 minutes in running length with a few short breaks for photos, offer dog treats, pet the dogs, etc.  Three people per sled maximum  ( one "driving" with 2 passengers). Riders can take turns driving the dog team.  I follow behind in tow on my own sled in full control yet still give you a feeling of having  your own dog team. You will still help maintain control of your team by steering it and using the brakes and other equipment on hills and as directed by Roy.

As with all rides, some people want to arrive early and learn more and be active with helping harnessing and looking after dogs, setting up, etc.  which is totally fine just let us know ahead of time.

The max. number of riders is 3.  More and we will have to do multiple trips.
Ages 4 or less will not be able to go on any regular ride, but may go out with a parent for a short 1-2 mile run for a small fee.

Paymentswill be arranged through Pay Pal by sending you electronic invoice once you decide. We require 1/2 down and the rest upon arrival. Obviously, full refunds if ADK needs to cancel.

Inclement Weather:  There may be times we need to post-pone due to extreme weather, minimal snow coverage and you will be informed 2 to 3 days prior if this may be the case.    100% refund if we need to cancel.

ONE Hour Tour:  $125 per person.  TWO PERSON LIMIT (Musher Roy + Two others).
These are  available mostly on weekDAYS and are a part of my normal training sessions.    Riders may help with harnessing, putting on booties if needed and general set-up if desired.  Mushers and dogs may cover distances from 10 to 16 miles, so please COME PREPARED. This is not for everyone, but can be a very rewarding experience. Limit of TWO passengers, not including Roy.

What to bring:  Warm clothes, ski goggles or sunglasses (glasses), camera, dog treats.
What we provide:   Large pillows/cushions for sitting and blankets.
Inclement Weather?   We will reach you 48 hours in advance to cancel or postpone if snow conditions or severe cold will be a problem. Ride will still take place with intermittent snow squalls, complete whiteout blizzard conditions the night before or the day OF I will call and cancel or post pone.

Seminars/Hourly Presentations:                                       $800 to $1000 per day (9 to 4pm)
Winterfest type rides (put on by your organization) :   $800- $1,000 per day.

Please Note:  If you charge a small fee for the rides your organization can recoupe half or more of the above. We sometimes can raffle off a regular family ride if that helps to recoupe our Cost.
